Hello There

hi

Hello there

Little Paisley Designs

I’m Ellie Longhurst, a freelance Print Designer and Illustrator, working in Bristol. I offer a range of design services, such as print design, logo design, wedding stationery and brand identity. I have a degree in surface pattern design from Winchester School of Art, and since graduating I have been working freelance for various British companies from my attic home studio.

I have a feminine, yet quirky design handwriting. I have a love of colour, my design style references folk patterns, paisley prints, anything kitsch, alpine forests & woodland animals. All my prints and illustrations are hand drawn and digitally composed.

Alongside design work I create handmade items featuring my prints under the name Little Paisley Designs. Little Paisley Designs creates handmade jewellery, prints, stationery and gifts featuring quirky handpainted illustrations of British Wildlife, Flora & Fauna. With a penchant for painting little birds, cacti and mushrooms!

Little Paisley Designs was founded in late 2014 as a complimentary creative outlet to commercial design work, and an excuse to make beautiful products for myself! Following a degree in print design, I realised the handmade nature of the design industry was where my interest lay, and Little Paisley Designs was born. Little Paisley Designs products are whimsical and colourful, with a playful nod to the traditional. Our products will brighten up your home or outfit!

Working from my sunny attic studio in Bristol, helped by two naughty cats and fuelled by lots of cups of tea, I spend my days painting & making! Each product starts life as a handpainted illustration. Working in predominantly watercolours and gouache paints, artwork is then scanned in and assembled. All items are either handmade in my home studio, or printed using British companies, then packaged and assembled by hand.

I am available for freelance commissions and design work of all sizes & styles, get in touch.
